My Tea Pot - JAM

This is my China Tea Set, that my husband got for my birthday last year (Feb 4). It has Roses on it, and it serves 6. My favorite china tea cup would be anything with a Rose on it. It is winter here, so there is no drinking outside, but I do hope to have Tea this spring. I wish the link to JAM was up longer, so I wouldn't miss the topic.

This is how far behind I am, today is the 6th, I usually put the calendar page up in the first of the month. Each month will be a type of Rooster or Hen. I wish I had a place to have chickens, but I don't, so the next best thing, I have them in my kitchen. What is your favorite farm animal?

Step Away From Your Sewing Machine

My Brother "Laura Ashley " NX-2000

I have 4 projects going on in this picture. Can you tell what they are? Under the book is a quilted Landscape, for my guild challenge, top left of the book-are ABC's, quilted for my Great Grandson. Little Covered Note Books, and on the sewing machine is covered laundry cord in Red, making coils for placemat. And, these are only the projects you can see in the picture. Jody Pearl has invited us to join "Just A Moment" JaM. Which can be found with her link on my blog. This week is "Step Away From You Sewing Machine" and take a picture and tell about our projects. I counted all my machines for this, I have 3 Brothers-my NX-2000, CS-6000B, XL-3022. My Janome Harmony9102D overlock. 3 Treadles - Singer, this one is from the 1800's and it works, one singer that does not work, one Golden Star that still works. And many parts from others that are tables. I have my Grandma's Singer that is from 1924, elec, and it still works and it means the most. Not sure what else to tell you about my projects, sometimes my projects are my only sane moments.

This is my studio DOG.

This is my studio dog, D.O.G., that's his name. He is about 76 lbs. And loves to be in the studio with me when I am there. D.O.G. loves the snow, and being outdoors, does not chase cats he grew up with cats. But, does not like people with hats on, and likes women more then men. Yes, he is spoiled, he has his treats in the evening. And thinks he is a lap dog. I am sharing him because I see alot of studio pets and love to see all of them.
I am still working on my ABC's for Brody, our great grandson. They will be pictured here soon.

Here we are again! Another beginning! What will we do this year? Lose weight? Exercise? Save money? How about doing something different, if you have wanted to create your own designs or patterns, then go for it. Or make that special quilt for someone. Learn how to dye fabric. What rocks your boat? What makes your heart sing? What keeps you up late and gets you up early? I am hoping for a more productive year of blogging, quilting, needlework's and growing friendships.

ABC's from Fabric

ABC's from Charms. Still, have to cut the holes out of them. I used pinking shears to cut them out for added visual effect.

I just used the charms I had on hand. Next time I will use ones that are more colorful and fun. Please choose your 4" letters careful, curves are harder to sew around than straight lines. Will show the final letters when done.

Celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus! Went to Church this morning for Christmas service.
Christmas play was about "What would it be like it Jesus was born in 2011" Mary and Joseph came in on a Harley, Jesus was born in a warehouse, the kings were workers with hardhats on.
The season is truly about his birth and why he came to be born. May this be a meaningful and blessed Christmas for you and your family.

Have Been Away for awhile!

I can't believe that May was the last time I blogged. Things in life can change in a blink of an eye. My husband came home in June and asked me if I wanted to buy a Consignment shop, I really thought he was kidding but Guess what, we now are the owners of a Consignment Shop. I really wanted a Quilt Shop. Oh, Well!
I really miss sewing or quilting when I want too. I'm now working 40+ hours a week. I have to work any type of sewing or quilting into my life, it is like having to make an appointment, I find a few minutes or moments to do so.

Triple Atomic Wings

We went to Quaker Steak & Lube with wonderful friends last night for their Anniversary, Brian is trying the Triple Atomic wings for the first time, you have to sign a wavier to be able to eat them, they are that hot. So here is a picture of him and the waiver and then a video of him eating them. He didn't eat them all. There was only 6, he may have gone home and finished them but not at the table. It was dark in there, so it is hard to see him, but you can hear what he said. We did have a great time.

Here is the beginning of the clock, I am making for my granddaughter, Kayden.
She wanted a calendar and a clock for her room, I got the calendar first and then went with the idea for the clock from the colors of the calendar. The clock is made out of a painted canvas, the clock parts are on the back, ones you can buy at any craft store.

Mug Rugs Sent

Snowy Days

It is snowing again, it seems like it will never end this winter season. I hope if we ever have another house, I would love to have a wood burning stove. I love the smell of wood burning when it is snowing. It has not been to where we could not get out of the house and go places. We still take weekend drives to just get out of the house because of cabin fever! Hope everyone is working on some type of quilty item.

Trying Transfer-Eze

Trying this item called Transfer-Eze it suppose to help with your embroidering, make it easier. You transfer the pattern onto the transfer-eze, you can use your printer and print the pattern right on it and then place on your fabric to be embroider. Well, as it stands now, I am not that impressed with it. It really makes your fabric stiff and hard to handle, I do have a backing interfacing on, I like that cause it hides the threads. When I am done, I am to cut away as much as I can and run the rest under water to remove the transfer-eze, I will let you know how that goes, hope this works, because this piece is for an anniversary, coming up soon. Life in the Winter time!

Here the other bud has bloomed, I was asked a few days ago, how I got a clematis to bloom in the winter? And inside at that. It was not planned, please read the earlier post on how I got the clematis. I just have to get it to stay alive till spring, so I can plant it outside and hope it will live a long time. A few houses down from my is a beautiful purple clematis that blooms every year and it lives on a lamp post. I have tried in NC and here to get them to bloom and no luck. Maybe with this one, that should have die at the nursery, it will live to just show them, that it can live. It has snowed most of the day here, it is time to start looking at gardening and seed magazines, to see what spring will bring.

New Life in the Cold Winter

I saved this Clematis Vine from the nursery this past summer, when it was only $4.00 instead of about $15.00. Yes, it was not looking good then and not so good now. But, I noticed it was going to bloom, it has two buds on it. So, I cut all the dead stems and leaves off and watered it. This is a summer plant here in Ohio, I have never been able to get one to grow or bloom, they always die. It is meaningful that it has two buds on it, We found out yesterday that we are going to be Great Grandparents for the first time in July 2011, and grandparents again in Aug 2011 for grandchild # 9. Boy, do I feel old now, but like I said, New Life in the Cold Winter. Winter is the renewing time of our seasons, or at least for me it is. Everything becomes clean again. It is like a clean palette to paint on. It is a time to reflect on the past year and to review your life.

Remember things can change in a blink of an eye, hold the ones you love close to your heart.

Sister's Choice Pillow Finished

Here is the finished pillow that I did for my Sister's Birthday. It is hard to see the back, but it is the same color as the center block of the pillow. She was happy with the outcome of her new pillow. Happy Birthday Sis. Love You.

Sister's Choice Block

First, let me just say I HATE the new formatting and composing on Blogger now. It will not let you add your pictures in order or where you want to put them. I had to play just to get this writing posted where it is starting from, it was all the way to the right. Hopefully they work it out.

This block is called Sister's Choice, I am not sure of the history of it or why is it called Sister's Choice. But I am making this block into a pillow for someone very special to me and who I have known for many, many years and hope she will enjoy it. One thing I noticed today as I was finishing the top was, as I was sewing it, I notice I think alot about the person I am making the item for. And I remember I do that for all of the items I make. I think we all do that when we are making items for people we love or for someone in passing. So I add a prayer that this item will bless or bring peace to them some how, when they see it or touch it. May we all remember the love that the person has given us, who the item was made for.
My camera is playing funny with the color when I take pictures. It is a great color of green and pink/peach in the block.

We have sun and blue skies here where I live in Northeast Ohio today.
And, yes there is snow on the ground, but I like that. My husband said if we ever have to move, friends will have to send me cut out snowflakes, so I can hang them around the house.

Dominoe Necklaces

Here are Necklaces I made from dominoes and scrabble letters. Dominoes and from a yard sale and the scrabble letters are from one of the kids old games.

Love ideas with reuseable items. This is why my husband is afraid of me not throwing things away, which I hate doing because you just have to go buy it again, and that is a waste of money.

Pillow for TQ Christmas Party

Here is the pillow I worked on for our quilt guild's Christmas party.

It is all hand embroidered and then hot fix rhinestones are embellished on it where the red berries are.

I then made a pillow out of it, the pattern was for a pincushion.

It is still snowing here, yesterday we had blue skies and sun most of the day. We did not get all the snow they said we were, and most of today is blowing snow with drifts. The snow plows come by about every other hour and plow the streets, which is good if you want to venture out. Will head to Michigan on Friday to pick up our youngest daughter (Katharyn) and her daughter (Madison) for a few days for our Christmas together.

Our middle daughter (Amanda) and her son (Briston) will be moving back to North Carolina after Christmas, we will miss them living so close. We wish all of our other children could be here, but miles separate most of us, but hopefully not our hearts.

Dream Rocket Panel - update

Here is an update on the Dream Rocket Panel. I have done the outline on the bodies and added the heads, now I need to outline the heads, I believe I will do it with just black paint. Still thinking if I will paint the world in or leave the way it is. The next step is to just layer it, then quilt it, put the binding on and send it in.

And, by the way it has not stopped snowing here for the last four days, not a lot of snow at once, just non stop snow, so we have about a foot of the white stuff. It is great quilting weather if you can get a chance to work on your quilting. So, for the ones of you who have snow or bad weather, I hope you can work on your quilting or sewing or crafts. I know in my world it is my therapy, my quiet time.

Anna and the Pink and Lime Green T-Shirt Quilt

I am helping girl that I meet through "Time Bank" work on a t-shirt quilt of her college days. She had saved all of her t-shirts in hopes of one day making a quilt out of them, she did not know how and had given up hope of finding someone to show her how to make her dream come true. I had found out about "Time Bank" from a flier and gave it a shot. I found Anna (36) there asking for help. If you have never heard of "Time Bank" you can google it and find one in your town maybe.

We have the first row put together, but it is slow going. She works full time and then some. It is fun helping her learn a new skill, her grandmother sews and knows of quilting but never has done it herself.

I will let you know where we are on the T-Shirt from time to time.

From one pattern to another

How does one get from one pattern to another pattern when we are working on a quilt? The picture on the left is the first pattern that I was going to use for my panel, but I found out the size would not work, it would be more than two feet wide when done. The Dream Rocket Panel can only be 2 feet by 2 feet, or at least the one I am working on. I choose "Community" as my theme. I wanted to keep different people from other countries as the main focus, but I choose children for the people, take a closer look at the shirts of the bodies. I still want to take the other pattern and finish making a world in a art quilt somewhere along the way.

Live with Purpose

This is our first snow of the season, and it's Dec 1st, and it's been snowing all day. I love the snow and hope I don't have to move away from it.

Berlin Trip

We spent the day in Berlin, Ohio shopping quilt shops there and in Charm, Ohio.

Had lunch at the Swiss restaurant there.

We all came home with something.

Stopped by a local Winery, just to look, will go back at a later date. And enjoy their wine and food.

We talked about projects we are working on and trying to finish. The weather could not have been better. Hope all of you will have a wonderful Memorial Day, just remember you can enjoy your day because of our Service Men and Women who have served our country and those who are serving now.

I was working on my panel today and when I put my pieced world together, it was almost 2 foot by 2 foot, so I have to rethink my panel. My pieced world can't be that big to fit on a 2 foot by 2 foot panel. So I think I may paint it, will see tomorrow.
Back to the drawing board. This is why art is fun, you can change anything that doesn't work for you.

Here it is December 25th, 2009, I can't believe it has been 52 Christmas for me.

The Christmas of 1959 before I turned 3, I got this Teddy Bear from my Grandma, and still have him today.

His name is Clay, I named him when I was in the 8th grade. He has been with me in all of life's ups and downs. He is missing an eye, his nose is missing a piece, has a hole in his side. Yet, he is with me and always will be.

I remember my first husband not letting me put him on the bed, he said I was to old for stuffed toys. Well, my bear out lasted him and other people along the way.

I had to bring him out today on his 50th Birthday, and show him to you. How many of you still have a toy or bear or doll, that means so much to you.

The head picture is of my husband, Rich and our grandson Briston, this is the only way he would talk to Santa this year, is if PaPa would hold him.

Wrap The Arts canvas

Well, I finished the canvas for the Wrap The Arts event for this Sat. I finished it on Oct 20th at 10:50 am. So, Jackie, from the Back Shed, you are the winner with the guess of Oct 20th at 4:30.

Wrap the Arts Project Piece - Giveaway

Here is the beginning of my piece for the Wrap the Arts project.

As you can see I have aways to go on it. So I'm having a give away for the person who can come the closes to the time I finish painting it.

I have till Oct 22st to get it done. I am having lunch with a friend on the 23rd and it will be hung on Oct 24Th.

It may not be a quilt, but it could be.

I will be giving away fabric, not only to the person who guess's close to the time I finish painting it, please put date and time, but also to the person who sends another person to my blog site.

Wrap the Arts - Youngstown Ohio

A local group dedicated to advancing the arts in Youngstown, Ohio known as "Art Youngstown" has enlisted more then 40 local artist for a project called Wrap the Arts. Each artist or group will create a piece of artwork out of a 6 by 8 foot vinyl canvas.

The pieces will be in Youngstown, Ohio on Oct 24th.

Here is just one of the 40 that will be permanently arranged on that day. I just got my panel on Thursday and started painting on friday, so you will have to check back after the 24th to see my canvas.

I didn't get the time to take the picture at the quilt show, I just went and picked it up. So I took a picture when I got home.

It has been folded in every which way, so you maybe able to see the folds.

It was fun doing the quilt, but I am glad it's over and all the quilt shows are done for this quilt.

Now it will be on it's way to the "A Way With Words Foundation", http://www.awaywithwordsfoundation.org/ for children with cancer. They will use it as a fundraiser for their projects for the children.

Thank You to the other girls who helped make the quilt possible.

Holy Trinity

Here is my Holy Trinity piece that won First Place. It is hanging at another show in this picture.

I was not looking for it to place at the show. I didn't get a picture with the blue ribbon, but I assure you there is a first place ribbon. I really did enjoy working on this piece and working with the copper. Learning to sew on the copper is very interesting. I think metal is one of my new loves.

It has been almost two months since my last post. How Awful is that. But I have not how time to myself in these two months, I have not picked up color, thread, paint, and put it to work. I have been doing baby invitations for my youngest daughter and her up coming baby shower that will be June 14th, her first and hopefully we will find out if the baby will be a boy or girl, she has had some rough times with this pregnancy and they would really like to know.

I will let you know as soon as I find out myself.

As for the group I belong to Creative Souls, here is the handmade Journal I was trying to post to the group and couldn't figure out how. Also I wish I could figure out how to make the image come up at this point.

As I was writing this I got a phone call, "IT'S GIRL! My daughter called and said they are having a girl.

Miss Lilybelle and California and Lost in Time

It has been almost a month since I was in California, I can't believe that it has been that long.

It felt like I never left home. It was like stepping back into the same old routine, my hubby did bring me bottled water and beef jerky (love beef jerky) for the hour ride home from the airport (Pittsburgh, PA) and because there is nothing open at that time of night, unless you go looking for it. So with that in mind, that is why it has taken me so long to get this posted, that and I get to spent tonight by myself which means I get alot of things done that I normally would not get done.

First, I want to thank Vivian, for inviting my sister, Dottie and I into her beautiful home, she made us feel at home, along with her many cats, Alpacas and Queensland Heeler, Woof. We can't forget her husband Ralph, and we thank him for putting up with us that day. I will put other pictures of my visit on the side bar, that you can enjoy.

Vivian's studio and home is just a wonderful place for your imagination and creative juices to flow, if you look at the picture above, that is her backyard.

We also celebrated my oldest Granddaugther's Allison, 10th birthday.

She is really getting big and is a great kid.

I am still quilting the panel quilt and getting it ready for the NQA Quilt Show that will be in Columbus, Ohio June 18, 19, and 20 2009. So if you live in Ohio, we hope to see you there.

Fiberart For A Cause

Here is the piece I have done in the Honor of Cindy Rangel.

The picture didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. But the colors are much more bold then you see here.

The name of the piece is called "Renewal"

It means to restore, resume.

What better than a Butterfly to say renewal, to begin anew, to come out on the other side better.

The center is like it's cocoon, and the butterfly coming forth to a new world.

Cindy is having her surgery today for her second round of uterine cancer.

Please pray for her and her Dr's.

It is warm and sunny here in Merced, California. I'm enjoying myself but can't wait to get home to Ohio. I was born and raised in California and I LOVE OHIO and I miss my husband. I can't wait to tell all of you about my trip, it has been rewarding so far. Fall Panel Quilt

Here is my part of the Season Panel Quilt that some of us are working on. I have finished with the applique part of it. We are getting to together on March 28, to put them together and decide how we will quilt them. Then I will finish embellishing my panel. I know what I have in mind, but any ideas out there? Miss Lilybelle and paper piecing

I have not finished my piece yet, I cut the sides to a 1/2 inch, instead of the 1/4, when I get ready to put it all together, I will trim to 1/4. Will post some more pictures when the blocks are done, so please don't hold your breath, it takes me awhile to finish things. These colors did not show up very well, but they will make a cute babydoll quilt.

Karen Miles with Miss Lilybelle at the class for Paper Piecing, which Karen taught and did a wonderful job. She showed some great tips ladies, with paper clips and a stiff card for folding on lines. Karen is a member of the T.Q.G.I.B.T., That Quilt Group I Belong To Guild, in Canfield, Ohio. She also quilts for other people, and quilts some unique and beautiful quilts. If you have never tried paper piecing, maybe it is something you have thought about, I would recommend taking a class somewhere. It is something to try at least once in your life time.

Thank You Karen for sharing your talents of Paper Piecing with us. Hope everyone took something away with them in this class.

Well, ladies California is getting closer. I leave on Wed morning, it is going to be warm, my sister said it should be in the 70's, can't wait. Check back soon!

Miss Lilybelle and Lost Time

I can't believe it is March already, and it's the 10th. It has been almost a month since the Tea Luncheon given by the Sew Happy Quilting Guild in Alliance, Ohio. They have one every Second weekend in February, we always have a great time. This year the speaker was Peg Bingham, from Akron, Ohio. She started quilting in 1977, she has developed her own pattern line of pieced Celtic knot designs, you can email her at (pegbingham@att.net) for her catalog of designs, tell her you saw her on my blog. She is pursuing her Masters Degree in Clothing and Textiles at the University of Akron, where she is also a teacher. Miss Lilybelle, got to meet Peg for the first time at the luncheon, where she also got to see the raffle quilt that was made by the guild. She was delighted at the baskets that were there for the Chinese auction. Check for some more pictures to the right of the luncheon.

Miss Lilybelle is going to a paper piecing class this coming Sat, check back for updates on that. Next week she is going to California to visit Vivian Capone, (http://www.vivianhelena.com/) another quilt artist and will get to see her studio.

Update on 4 Piece Panel Quilt

Here is one part of the four season panel quilt that 3 other quilters and myself are working on, I have Fall.
I enlarged the quilt pattern and then divided the pattern into 4 even panels, and redrew each one. We each got a season to quilt as we saw that season in Ohio, the pattern is called Road to Ohio, and we have permission from Two Cousins.

The sky is hand dyed fabric, the others are from fabric lines.

The pond water is hand painted, I really did not like the tree in this picture, I tried other fabric and finally came up the one in the next picture.

I didn't like the second panel of fabric up from the pond, the dark gold one with the brown lines on it, it just did not look or feel right to me.

Then I put this darker tree in place of the other one and it felt much better.

Both the tree and that dark gold panel seems to work better then before.

Now, I am thinking of redoing the bottom panel of fabric, I am thinking of going darker also. But not as dark as the tree.

I still have some the panels to sew down, the tree is not folded in yet so the limbs look large.

I am still working on what I am going to use for embellishments for this panel. I will keep you posted, I won't be able to show the done quilt until hopefully sometime in April, we are shooting for the deadline for the NQA show in Columbus, Ohio.

I hope to add more of my quilting adventures, I have started some new ideas, I am still working on my dreamcatcher, for the ones of my readers who may be wondering about that one.

Field Trip

I am not a person who always plans a trip or things out first, I just do them.
I emailed Sue Spargo last night to see if she was going to be open today.
She emailed me back to say yes, she was.
So off to her shop, which is in her home. I had never been there before, what a great place to be
able to go on a short notice. It took about 45 minutes to get to her home. It was a wonderful day for a drive.
Picked up some wool and beads, and some really cool metal buttons.

New Year 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

You can't see his face, but this is my grandson "Briston" and he is celebrating the new year.

We started the year off by putting Christmas ornaments and tree away and cleaning most of the house.
I have already started on making my new year a better one, then the last year. One thing that drives me crazy and stressed are my surroundings. I cannot put into words just how much I dislike wallpaper. I have never seen wallpaper that I can say I like.
When we moved into this home in 2006, one of the things it had and still has in some rooms, is wallpaper.

I took the paper out of the upstairs bathroom first, that was in Aug 2006, painted it, sea foam green.

I did paint the hallway the last time he was gone for business.

Nov 2008, I took the paper out of the kitchen and painted it cozy cottage white on top and a darker beige on bottom of the chair rail. With accent color of red and my collection of cookie molds. I love to take old things, yard sales finds, flea market items and use them in other places.
There is an old wood table now in the nook, that has been painted red with black highlights.

The dinning room is next. I am making my surroundings more pleasing, less stressful.
Even tho, my hubby said don't start anything that we can't finish in a weekend, I will start it when he's away for business. That's what I did last time, and it's done.

So, here's to you and a less stressful year.
I only have three quilt projects going on right now.
A large 4 panel quilt, that 3 other ladies are doing also, we are doing the four seasons and I have fall.
A wall hanging collage for my DIL.
A quilted tin for a swap with my F.A.T. group.
I still need to work on my sewing room, that area is stressful.

Take the bull by the horns and have a great year.

ThreadHeads Ornament Exchange

Our group the ThreadHeads exchanged ornaments at our Christmas get together. Some were handmade, but all were wonderful and can't wait to be put on our trees. I collect Angels, Snowmen, Wooden bobbins, Pinchusions and alot of other neat sewing items. We had one of our members daughter hand out the ornaments that were in bags or wrapped in Christmas paper. So we did not know what we were getting until we opened them, I got an handmade felted Angel by Gabriela. I love it! It will hang in my sewing room once the season is over. We have one member, Ann, who lives in Angier, North Carolina, who could not be with us, but was there in spirit.

Honeypot Ornament Swap

I finished my ornaments for the Honeypot Christmas Swap, I hope my ornaments will be enjoyed, but you will have to wait to see them.
I didn't what the other person to see them before they got to her tree. I am mailing them today.
It is cold here in Ohio today, but warmer then yesterday, it was coooooooooold. The snow is melting, but I hope it snows a lot on Christmas day. Like I have said before, I love living in Ohio. Not bad for a country girl from California. I would still love a small place where I could have chickens and a garden to grow vegetables.

This is the first time I will be doing an Art Journal, I have kept written journals before but don't ever keep up with them.

The theme this week is Seasons of Change, so my cover has a two fold meaning, a journal to me is a Journey, and a journey has many twists and turns, like the seasons. We never end up where we think we will.

The weather here in Northeast Ohio has been cooler and rainy the past few days, I think Fall maybe here sooner then we would like, which means snow is around the corner.

At least the cooler weather has put the Japanese Beetles at bay for a while, they have been so bad this year, it is the first year that I have had to use something called "Bag-a-Bug", I've never seen so many Japanese Beetles in my life, use to collect them in jars when I was little, that was just a few years ago, LOL.

Off to work on my Journal for the Fair and my piece for the "One Voice" exhibit, will post them when I am done working on them.

The weather here in Ohio today is just wonderful, breezy and cool, with sunshine.
Could not ask for a prettier day.
I have posted the picture of me with my fiber piece the "Holy Trinity" at the fiber show. And one of Gabriela with one of her pieces.

Have posted new a picture of our youngest son, Chris, still waiting on a picture from our fourth child Ryan. As soon as I get one I will post it.

Finished Fiber Piece!

The fiber piece is now done, folks. And could not be happier, that stress is now gone.

Working Hard for the due date.

I am working on my fiber piece almost everyday in hopes of getting it done for the fiber show.
The one thing I don't like about due dates for projects is that they seem to get in the way of getting the piece done right. You worry about that date instead of thinking about the piece or at least I do.
I will be working on the piece and will get ready to put something on it and it will tell me to put something different on it. I will have to stop and add or take away a piece of it and change it for something else.
I hope to take a new picture this afternoon and post it later.

Spinners Hook and Spinning

One of the hardest things that I am trying to teach myself is to spin yarn.
It is not as easy as it looks, my hands don't want to do what I tell them, they have a mind of their own.
I took the time to make a spinners hook, which pulls the started thread through the orifice of the spinning wheel. Something new to think about making now.
I friend gave me bags of Alpaca fibers of all different colors and I am learning to wash, clean, and comb the fibers, it is fun!
But spinning is a different story, will keep you up to date on things.

I am still working on my fiber piece for the show coming up July - August.

New Project

Good Morning from Ohio

Today is just a great day, here in Ohio.
The weather here is Cool, sunshine, with a very light breeze.

This is the project I have been working on instead of the Dreamcatcher.
This is for the Fiber Show that is coming up in July at the Peninsula Art Academy's Fiber Show

It is called:
Triquetra or Holy Trinity
It has three parts like the Trinity
And it will have all three's in the design.
I will post as I go along, so bear with me as I try and keep up.

Sorry everyone!
I have not bloged in so long, Life has gotten in the way.
I have even started new projects without finishing this one first.
I do that alot, but that is how my brain works, it jumps to, too many things and
can't seem to finish the thing I start.
But I am not the only one that does this, other artist totally understand what I mean.
I hope to finish this one day.

Purpose

The purpose for this wall hanging is to show that art quilts ARE quilts.
You can find stained glass patterns on the internet.
This pattern was found at www.glasspatterns.com
You can add anything you want to an art quilt, where with a quilt that
you use for a bed you cannot, you have to be able to wash it.
