Purpose

The purpose for this wall hanging is to show that art quilts ARE quilts.
You can find stained glass patterns on the internet.
This pattern was found at www.glasspatterns.com
You can add anything you want to an art quilt, where with a quilt that
you use for a bed you cannot, you have to be able to wash it.

Please send the link to other quilters that you know.
Thanks

Design

The design on this blog is not for use by anyone without the permission from the designer.
I have written permission to use only as a quilt. And cannot give to anyone.
Thank You
RoseMary

Dreamcatcher Design

Here is the Design for the Dreamcatcher!!!!!!!!

It is about 4 ft wide by 5 1/2 ft long. Will make sure just how big it is.
It will have two or three parts that are loose from the main body of the quilt.

I am going tomorrow to look for cool things to put in it.

See you soon,
RoseMary

Dreamcatcher

Good Evening Quilters,
It is hot and humid here in Ohio, the sun was out for awhile.
The Name of the wallhanging I will be working on is called" Dreamcatcher"
I was ask if I did the design, and the answer is no, I found it on a stained glass website.
I emailed and got permission to use the pattern to make a quilt out of it.
There are so many places to get ideas for quilts, where to begin.

I will be sending a picture in my next blog of the design.

For the Dreamcatcher, I will be using Angelina fusible fibers, my hand dyed fabrics, and a fabric line called "Stained Glass" if I can find it. So if any of you quilters know where I can find some
please let me know. Will also try some copper.
Also, I hope to add bendable lights though out the piece. Will see how it goes.

Happy Stitching,
RoseMary

The Beginning

Good Morning!

It is wet and chilly here in Canfield, Ohio.

I am looking forward to the snow again, when it will clean everything and start over.

Last night on a quilters chat room, I was asked to start a blog in regrades to a wall hanging I am working on. I have never done something like this, so I said why not. I will say, I'm sorry ahead of time for not being a English major. But that's alright, I quilt instead.

I will try and post a blog everyday that I work on the quilt. It maybe days apart since I babysit

my 8 month old grandson, Briston.

The wall hanging is a Dreamcatcher, and the pattern comes from a Stained Glass piece that I

fell in love with many months ago.

Will post pictures as soon I learn how to on the blog.

Next blog I will talk about the fabric and extras that I will be using to make the Dreamcatcher.

Until then, I will try and stay dry.

Happy Stitching,

RoseMary
